It is a legal requirement and best practice for businesses to tell their customers if any food they provide contains any foods and ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity, namely:
– Celery
– Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt or their
hybridized strains and products of these)
– Crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters)
– Eggs and egg products;
– Fish and fish products;
– Milk and milk products (lactose included);
– Mustard
– Soybeans and products of these
– Sesame
– Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if they are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million)
– Tree nuts (such as almonds, peanuts, groundnuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
